About Omar Elsayed, dessalles and all this…

Standing at the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment, South Africa

dessalles[?] is the personal website of Omar Elsayed. I live in New York City where in my spare time I work as an interactive design director and strategist. My preferred food is coffee, my favorite deity is the Sun and my worldwide electronic communications network of choice is the Internet. For as long as I remember, I’ve displayed a remarkable aptitude for finding things no one is looking for.

I make no claim that I have any idea what I’m talking about or any understanding of punctuation – particularly hyphens.

If you’re so inclined, you can send me mail of the ‘e’ variety:

  1. Not sure why you popped up when I entered my newly found twitter details….I live in Brooklyn too and we both work in media….like whats happening with your background.

    Amy

  2. So I was listening to the listenable set called I Muke Lisic V.1 and it’s attributed to you as a podcast. No signs of nice banstand-filtered synth pop otherwise here. Instead…the Alps now. So did you order every dessert (gelato+coffee) in NewYorkMag.com’s special early this fall? And I have to say I don’t get it about how Nicky’s Vietnamese coffee (I forget what that really is) is killing you. Obvious in the context of the shop!?

  3. hey there!!
what city is it in the background?

    • The background changes every time you load the page. Currently there are eight different locations: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai, Dubai, Swiss Alps and London

  4. Pia (not sure if you know her) sent me your website and asked me to check it out. Good stuff. Hope to see more updates though.

What are your thoughts on twitter? Not sure if I like it ..

  5. I never got how those bloody hyphens worked either; they seem to be operating secretively as semi-colons — another dilemma.
